Brunette welcomes new partner, Murray Latta Progressive Machine Inc.

We are pleased to announce a new ownership change at Brunette Industries. I have partnered with Murray Latta Progressive Machine Inc. (MLPM) of Surrey; and together purchased the assets of Brunette Industries Ltd (Head office in New Westminster, BC), Brunette Industries Ltd (Prince George Div.), Brunette Industries Inc. (Atlanta, GA), and BDR Machinery Ltd (Toronto, ON). All branches will now operate under the new company name Brunette Machinery Company Inc. (BMC). This move strengthens Brunette’s position as a market leader in the design, development, and distribution of high quality wood processing machinery (chippers, hogs, debarkers, butt reducers, conveyors, log singulators®, and inventory of specialty parts). The company will now have access to MLPM’s 60,000SF manufacturing facility, expertise, and equipment which will help Brunette increase manufacturing capabilities, and enable expanded focus on product development, and customer service.
MLPM is an established leader of custom machinery manufacturing, planer mill equipment and parts distribution, millwrighting and machinery moving throughout North America since 1918.
Brunette’s history dates back to the mid 1920′s. Brunette is well known for it’s expertise with debarkers, hogs, and has a strong foothold in the Chipper markets. Recently Brunette developed new wood processing machinery such as the BioSizer®(high speed grinder), SmartVIBE conveyor, Whole Log Micro Chipper, and Veneer Chipper. These products advance existing technologies and, along with a highly experienced work force and broadened customer service, will play a big part in our future growth.

May 2-5, 2011 – Brunette Industries participated in the International Biomass Conference & Expo at the America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri. This event was organized by BBI International and coproduced by Biomass Power & Thermal and Biorefining Magazine and served to unite industry professionals from all sectors of the world’s interconnected biomass utilization industries—biobased power, thermal energy, fuels and chemicals.
